A Spanish 16th century carved panel, probably alabaster, of the virgin and Christ child watched over by angels. A very detailed image in deep relief. Traces of gilding and polychrome decoration. In its original ripple moulded ebony frame which has been over gilded. Broken and restored at an early date. Country house condition.
