A rare & unusual Georgian folk art horn beaker depicting ‘The Earth Stopper’. Early 19th century. The story was created by George Smart, a tailor living in the village of Frant near Tunbridge Wells. He created pictures, figures and other items and became very popular, supplying some of his pictures to Queen Victoria’s uncle, the Duke of Sussex.
