A rare Queen Anne period japanned bureau on stand, English c.1710. The lacquer scenes showing the influence of Stalker & Parker’s ‘A Treatise on Japanning and Varnishing’ of 1688. The fall front opening to a fully fitted interior of drawers, pigeonholes and a well above a frieze drawer with concave moulding. The stand featuring a shaped apron and raised on bold cabriole legs and pad feet. Of good, diminutive proportions.
