Rare early 18th century French Faience pottery bellows. Circa 1730, attributed to Laurier-Olerys, Moustiers.
Decorated in relief with baroque grotesque motifs. The ventilation hole formed from the mouth of a satyrs mask.
Very few examples are known. A similar set (in better condition) was sold by Rob Michaels Auctions for €8925 in 2017.
Measures 48cm long x 25cm wide x 10cm high.
Damages to the pottery and the leather. Old restoration. The handles have been largely replaced. The leather and studs are original. Nozzle absent.
