A rare early 17th century Italian bronze figure of Mars in Roman attire with traces of original gilt, c.1600. Much in the manner of Tiziano Aspetti (1559-1606). Raised on a white alabaster & Breccia Pernice socle. Early collection label to the underside. Of superb surface patination.
