A fine quality 18th century mahogany, satinwood and tulipwood decanter box; English, c.1790. The moulded lid retains the original gilt brass swan neck handle and is incised with ebony. Featuring panelled sides with feather banding and herringbone stringing, raised on ogee bracket feet. Original working lock and key. Enclosed is a six division interior with the original square cut decanters with facet cut stoppers. Of superb colour and patina.
